Research and Development

When it comes to research and development, we are at the forefront. The continuous improvement and optimization of our products, along with the design and implementation of new, innovative cooling solutions, is our passion. This includes SCHWÄMMLE innovations such as the ultra-quiet GoSilent cooling system and highly efficient systems for cooling wind turbines.

We manufacture for research and conduct research ourselves. We produce cooling systems for research and science. Our clients include numerous universities, institutes, and research facilities. We create customized solutions based on specified requirements, such as high temperature consistency or complex measurement technology and sensors.

A key focus of our company philosophy is the constant expansion of our expertise through research. Currently, with support from AIF, we are developing a modular cooling system for offshore wind turbines. Additionally, we are researching the development of a quiet, space-saving adsorption cooling machine for autonomous use in high ambient temperatures, with capacities up to approximately 5 kW. The project is managed by EuroNorm GmbH, aiming to ensure that the adsorption cooling machine can operate independently even at higher ambient temperatures through a new heating solution.

Partner of universities

Collaboration with universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally is a tradition for us. We are partners with universities. As in 2010, we also participated as a sponsor and partner in the Solar Decathlon in 2012.

Innovation for the future

In collaboration with the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences and the HTWG Constance, we developed a custom-designed reversible water/water heat pump—the heart of the building technology for the "ecolar" house. Tailor-made laser cooling systems are used in research, for example, at the German Aerospace Center.
